Head Chef Mok Wan Lok of Szechuan Court dishes out eight meticulously crafted New Year set menus along with a scrumptious collection of chef signatures all set to tempt and tantalise tastebuds.

Kick start reunion dinners with the traditional tossing of the Yu Sheng as a symbol of prosperity and good luck for the New Year. Chef Mok uses an exceptional choice of exquisite ingredients for the Yu Sheng including African abalone, salmon sashimi, Boston lobster and Chef’s special blend of sauces that complements the freshly shredded vegetables. Be blown away by the meticulous plating and beautiful colours of this Yu Sheng that is presented in the form of the Chinese character representing a horse.

Welcome the Year of the Horse with abundant blessings with this iconic and quintessential pot of heavenly treasures. Featuring sixteen different ingredients including highly prized African abalones, top grade giant Japanese dried scallops and oysters, luscious fish maw, sea cucumbers and more, this is one Lunar New Year mainstay that will capture the tastebuds and hearts of many. Prepared using slow-simmered superior chicken stock, chef’s specially concocted sauce for the pen cai and the numerous scrumptious ingredients in the pot makes it the perfect accompaniment for a bowl of fragrant white rice.

Making its debut this year is Szechuan Court’s Golden Scallop Ingots. Lightly breaded and fried to a golden hue, sealing in the sweetness of the scallops, the Golden Scallop Ingots are paired with a house-blended Thousand Island Sauce.

Another new addition to this year’s Chinese New Year menu is the Shanghai Dumpling in Superior Bird’s Nest Consommè that will fetè the tastebuds of connoisseurs. Delicately handcrafted by Dim Sum Chef Mandy Yeo, each pork and seafood dumpling is served in a bowl of steaming bird’s nest and chicken consommé that has been simmered over low heat for at least six hours. This flavourful soup will be much appreciated by ladies for its nutritional and health benefits.

Indulge in this timeless Lunar New Year dessert specially crafted by Chef Mandy Yeo for the festive occasion. Believed to enhance good luck, harmony, unity and raise oneself higher in each coming year, the Green Tea Nian Gao provides a pleasant contemporary twist and alternative to the traditional brown sugared glutinous cakes. This toothsome signature treat is sprinkled with freshly grated coconut to enhance its flavour and provides an added texture for the chewy and gooey traditional Chinese sweet treat. Freshly prepared daily, this Nian Gao will be the ultimate sweet treat to indulge in this New Year!

Dim sum lovers can also indulge in delicate hand-crafted dim sum items especially created by Chef Mandy this Lunar New Year including the Golden “Dragon” Har Gao (金箔蚧 肉鲜虾饺, $9.80++ per set of three pieces) that is packed with succulent prawns and juicy crabmeat, and brushed with a stroke of gold to signify good fortune. Be sure not to miss the luxurious Foie Gras Golden Treasure Bun (鲜果鹅干黄金盒, $9.80 per piece),

a contemporary East-meets-West dim sum with a piece of creamy Foie Gras seated atop a bed of crisp alfafa sprouts and topped with chef’s selection of fresh fruits; all set within a lightly fried golden Chinese Mantou.
