Completed in time to show off her new beauty and creature comforts to Christmas guests, the iconic MV Proud Mary vessel is turning heads on the river.

Captain Dave Farren has been happily fielding calls from proud locals up and down the Murray telling him how great she’s looking. “My beautiful ‘new’ lady is turning heads and making a big impression along our river route,” he reports.Murray-River-Press-Release-5

Proud Mary’s full exterior facelift included new paint and revarnishing of woodwork, and with her engine overhauled and new propellors, she is now gliding effortlessly along the river.

Guests have been delighted with the cabin makeover including the comfy new beds and doonas as well as stylish décor embellishments.  The refurbished ensuites have received much of the accolades.

“The boat looks great in its new paint job, and the cabins were fantastic – particularly the ensuite. Thanks to all the Crew,” said Steve from New South Wales.

While Noleen from Queensland said “What a wonderful refurbishment Proud Mary!  Loved the new ensuites and our climate controlled air was great in the summer heat.”

“Wow what a difference! I took a cruise aboard the Proud Mary four years ago and had to come again because I liked it so much. But it now feels like a different boat! Looks fantastic – well done to the team at Proud Mary!” said Robert from South Australia.

There’s never been a better time to explore the Murray River
