PTC Luncheon with Speakers

January 12, 2017 Whats On No Comments Email Email

This first luncheon function of the PTC for 2017 will have two speakers delivering content that will be of interest and use to everyone involved in the tourism sector across Thailand.

Speaker 1: Mr John Koldowski

John is well known across the Asia Pacific region particularly for his work with PATA where for 15 years he supplied intelligence on the trends and shifts in the tourism marketplace around the world with a distinct focus on their impacts on the Asia Pacific region. He will deliver an overview of tourism in 2016 across Asia and especially Southeast Asia, with some projections on issues and impacts that will affect the region over the next five years.

Speaker 2: Dr Mark Hampton

Dr. Hampton is visiting Thailand from the University of Kent in the UK where he is a reader in Tourism Management. He has an interest in various segments of the international traveller including backpackers and coastal area tourism. Mark will be speaking on coastal area tourism across Southeast Asia.

Both speakers are engaging and informative and both will give interesting insights into what was and what might be as we enter another year of volatile geopolitics, uncertain economies and increasing competitive positioning for a share of the international tourism.

Not to be missed.
