20140409_pullman_shanghaisouthPullman’s latest hotel has opened in vibrant, electric Shanghai, a city that reflects its brand identity perfectly.

Driven by the incredible energy that emanates from China’s most highly populated city, Pullman has chosen to pursue its adventure in Shanghai by opening its second address in this city and 15th in China…. This impressive metropolis’s cosmopolitan transformation and cultural boom make it the perfect location for the magnificent Pullman Shanghai South. As its name indicates, the hotel is located in the South of the city in one of its most bustling districts! This area has everything to delight the inquisitive traveler: gastronomy, shopping, visits, etc.

The Pullman Shanghai South lies within easy striking distance of the city’s key transport services and boasts direct access to the Star Plaza shopping complex. Naturally, this splendid property, with 338 rooms and suites, offers all the brand’s best signature services: the Connectivity by Pullman concept, the Co-meeting offer for the organization of events, Vinoteca by Pullman, the Fit and Spa Lounge, etc..

Impressive expansion in Asia

The brand’s expansion in Asia accelerated significantly between 2012 and 2013, with 15 new addresses. These notably include the Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar (Malaysia), the Pullman Saigon Centre, the Pullman Danang Beach Resort (Vietnam) and the Pullman Phuket Arcadia (Thailand).

More than half of the brand’s establishments are now in the Asia Pacific region, including 15 hotels in China, which is Pullman’s leading market in terms of the number of hotels. The brand is present in the region’s most dynamic business districts as well as its most idyllic tourist destinations, with addresses in India, Bali, Hanoi as well as 11 hotels and resorts in Australia where the brand is the leader in its segment.

Michael Issenberg, CEO HotelServices Asia-Pacific explains “Expansion in Asia Pacific is a priority for Pullman. We plan to open 47 new hotels here over the next four years to reach more than 90 hotels in the region, or over half the brand’s network. Our expansion focuses on key tourist destinations and strategic business hubs. This deployment reflects the brand’s “work hard, play hard” spirit. For example, we will soon unveil the Pullman New Delhi International Airport in India and the Pullman Bandung City Centre in Indonesia.”
