Pure Fitness launches Innovation Lab, Hong Kong’s first fitness product-testing hub that offers exclusive, sneak-peak access to the latest cutting-edge technology in fitness.

Debuting across selected Pure Fitness locations, Innovation Lab allows Pure Cardholders to test out and rate the most revolutionary gadgets and equipment on the market. Feedback from Cardholders will ultimately determine whether the product will be introduced to Pure Fitness locations permanently.

“Innovation Lab is an arena for first access to the latest – and possibly greatest – innovations, sometimes even before they hit the retail market. From futuristic gadgets to immersive virtual reality, Hong Kongers can explore and experience new realms of exercise at Pure Fitness,” says Pure Fitness ‘Techspert’, John Leung.

Fitness technology is a fast-growing market that continues to evolve as gym-goers seek ever expanding possibilities of heightening their workout experiences. No longer satisfied with just a space to exercise, individuals want the power of technology to take their fitness to the next level.

First to debut at Innovation Lab at Pure Fitness ICBC is an indoor fitness bike from Life Fitness and VirZOOM that combines virtual reality and gaming, and is yet to hit the retail market. Innovation Lab at Pure Fitness Langham Place will introduce theTechnogym Unity Mini, a tablet that attaches to strength training machines for coaching and instantaneous feedback on workout performance. The HIITMill X treadmill delivers high-intensity workouts and effective resistance training with its combined Farmers Carry Lift Arms and is available at Pure Fitness Kinwick Centre.

Pure has always been an industry innovator, being the first in the world to offer a 270˚ Immersive Fitness studio that combines cinema technology with fitness classes and introducing Asia’s first RealRyder® Indoor Cycling Studio (indoor riding machines that steer and lean like outdoor bikes).

“As a market that is hungry for innovation, Hong Kong is the perfect launch pad for what we see as the future of fitness. Not every new piece of technology will be a success, which is why we’ve introduced Innovation Lab to engage with people directly in learning what they like and don’t like,” says Pure Group CEO Colin Grant.

New trial equipment will debut regularly and feature the Innovation Lab logo for easy identification. For more information and updates, visit the Pure Fitness Facebook page and Innovation Lab webpage: pure-fitness.com/lab.
