October 23, 2017 Headline News No Comments Email Email

Qantas applied on Friday to the International Air Services Commission to vary the determination on the Hong Kong route to permit LATAM to market services operated by Qantas from 1 December 2017.

Qantas is proposing that as part of its code-share deal with LATAM, LATAM will offer code-share services on flights operated by Qantas on the Hong Kong and Singapore routes from 1 December 2017.

Qantas requests variation of the following determinations to permit the utilisation of capacity to that end:

  • Hong Kong Determination [2015] IASC 115
  • Singapore Determination [2007] IASC 116

As in usual with such applications, in accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission invites submissions about the application.

The closing date for making a submission is 3 November 2017. The Commission asks anyone intending to make a submission to inform the Executive Director of the Commission by email (at iasc@infrastructure.gov.au) of their intention as soon as possible.
