Qantas plans Jet Airways codeshare to Thailand

egtmedia59Qantas has applied to the International Air Services Commission to vary the current allocation of 35.6 B747 equivalent units of capacity per week and 26 third country code share frequencies per week on the Thailand route.

This is to permit Indian carrier Jet Airways to codeshare on Qantas operated services, Qantas said in its application.

Qantas and Jet Airways plan to code share on the Thailand route, whereby Jet Airways will code share on Qantas services between Bangkok and Sydney and Qantas will place its code on Jet Airways’ services between Bangkok and Mumbai/New Delhi.

In accordance with section 22 of the International Air Services Commission Act 1992, the Commission has invited submissions on the Qantas application.

The closing date for making a submission is this Wednesday, 21 September 2016.
