Qatar Airways Cargo recently received the International Award for Excellence in Air Cargo at the Air Cargo India 2016 exhibition and conference, hosted by STAT Times.

Readers of STAT Times, the monthly publication covering transport and tourism news, rated Qatar Airways Cargo ‘highly acclaimed’ in the International Air Cargo Airline of the Year category, a significant recognition of Qatar Airways Cargo’s emerging industry leadership position.

Recent customer innovations introduced by Qatar Airways Cargo include CROAMIS, an end-to-end and comprehensive air cargo automation system that allows shippers and forwarders full visibility of the transportation ribbon, which provides the latest information and real-time status of their cargo. The world’s third-largest air cargo carrier has also fully adopted the electronic air waybill, which makes the shipping process more streamlined and efficient. In addition, Qatar Airways Cargo continues to expand its network of offerings, now serving more than 50 dedicated cargo destinations.

Qatar Airways Chief Officer Cargo, Mr. Ulrich Ogiermann said: “We appreciate the recognition for serving our cargo customers so well. Qatar Airways Cargo is emerging as a leader in the air cargo world, expanding its network and offering new products and services our customers want and need. We are investing in the infrastructure at Hamad International Airport to support further growth, including a new cargo terminal that will be able to handle 4.4 million tonnes of cargo per year, and we look forward to expanding our influence in global airfreight.”
