The illustrious award comes at a time when Qatar Airways is expanding and adding significant new direct routes between the United States and Hamad International Airport in Doha. The airline plans to launch non-stop services to Los Angeles, Atlanta and Boston in 2016, along with a second flight to New York JFK. The second daily service to New York as well as the current Philadelphia route will be operated by the airline’s latest flagship Airbus A350 for which Qatar Airways is the Global Launch Customer.
“Our goal is to offer the world’s best aviation services to as many passengers as possible,” said Mr. Rossen Dimitrov, Qatar Airways’ Senior Vice President of Customer Experience. “As we continue to expand out services in the United States, we have every confidence that our award-winning in-flight experience will give American travellers a new appreciation for global aviation.”
Qatar Airways was also honored in 2015 at the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards, where the airline was named Airline of the Year, Best Business Class Airline Seat, and Best Airline in the Middle East.
