Hot on the heels of the launch of QT Gold CoastQT Port Douglas and the flagship QT Sydney, Australia’s newest and most exciting hotel brand, QT Hotels & Resorts, will go where no design hotel brand has gone before, bringing their unique sense of quirk, fun and  unique design philosophy to the ski slopes of Falls Creek.

520902 Launching this season, QT Falls Creek is the perfect retreat for style-loving ski bunnies and, like its siblings, delivers the ultimate in eclectic design environment and bold entertainment spaces. QT enlisted a talented pool of passionate collaborators with rich and varied experience across a number of disciplines, including design, art, culinary and hospitality, to complete the extensive design project. Renowned hotel designer Nic Graham was at the helm of the project, bringing a wealth of experience, including the design of all three preceding QT properties.

The hotel makeover was designed in the ‘warmth of cool’ QT-style and includes a mixture of vintage pieces contrasted with modern, slick and rustic accents. The unique design has been inspired by fashion, art, design, pattern, colour, and texture. The colour palette includes smoky greys, silvers and neutrals spotted with bright colours replicating the colours skiers will also see on the slopes, delivering the QT signature, cool design philosophy with a quirky edge.

The public spaces have been injected with dynamic colours and patterned surfaces, featuring European-inspired painted concrete tiles, vintage ski posters, and aged brass and limed Oak which form a base palette to enliven the ski-side retreat. Wire baskets, aged bottles and vintage skis add an additional layering of the QT quirk to the architectural spaces, well-known in Alpine circles as the place to be.

Standout design elements include vintage references with mid-century posters and bespoke vintage display adding colour, intrigue and character to the spaces. Old skis and snow shoes, mid-century ceramics and feature tiles inspired by the vintage snowflake and winter knit prints give the spaces warmth and depth.

QT Falls Creek has taken residency in the former Quay West Resort and Spa site at Falls Creek, with the redesign spearheaded by Amalgamated Holdings’ Managing Director, David Seargeant. Like its counterparts, QT Falls Creek features the signature QT styling, but this time with a bespoke Alpine twist.

Accommodation includes 63 one, two, three and four bedroom fully furnished apartments that have been given the QT treatment to boast modern interiors, under floor heating, open plan living areas, breath-taking views over the Kiewa Valley and hot tubs on most apartment balconies.

Falls Creek has also been treated to the Bazaar Marketplace, which is the resort’s signature restaurant and heart of the property. Showcasing an international mosaic of foods, guests of QT Falls Creek will be spoilt for choice with seafood, crustacean and charcuterie bars, Asian and grill stations, a wood fired pizza oven and rotisserie.

QT Falls Creek is the perfect base for action on the slopes, an après ski oasis and a luxury alpine spa retreat in one. QT Falls Creek is now open and ready for an indulgent snow season ahead. The hotel’s spa is a destination unto itself. spaQ gives a fresh, hand-picked and novel twist to the ‘designer spa’ concept; everything from the uniforms to menu options have been crafted with careful consideration to deliver a sublime spa experience.
