QT Hotels & Resorts are offering to take charge of devices across Australia and New Zealand with the launch of the Power Down, its first digital detox package. Encouraging guests to put themselves into flight mode and get grounded, the package will see guests hand over devices for a self-imposed minimum 12 hour break from screen time and a little self-care – because sometimes, the most important function on your phone is the off switch.

Whether losing hours to mindless scrolling on Instagram, suffering burn-out from too many emails, or just sick of being spammed with Becky from high school’s baby photos, the Power Down package offers guests the chance to truly log off. QT Hotel’s friendly staff will take care of participating guest’s phones from 7PM – 7AM, whilst they unplug and rewind with a range of mindful extras including complimentary wellness bowls, juices, supplements or a sneaky wine and cheese at QT’s award-winning bars.

Guests who choose to come offline will reconnect from within, starting with a complimentary wellness bowl from QT’s newly launched in-room dining selection. The menu includes a choice of a Sea and Omega Bowl with sushi rice, grilled miso-glazed salmon, pickled ginger, edamame, crispy shallots, avocado, toasted sesame, wakame-coriander-mint salad, wasabi ponzu dressing and togarashi seasoning; Essential Clean Tummy Greens Bowl with broccoli, edamame, zucchini noodles, romesco cauliflower, spinach, avocado, cashews, organic ginger, black sesame seeds & orange Dressing; or a Ferment And Nourish Bowl with black wild rice, smoked hummus, cumin-spiced cauliflower & pumpkin, white pickled sauerkraut, fresh pomegranate, vegan falafel, mint & sumac.

Adam Petta, Group Director Culinary, Event Hospitality and Entertainment, parent company to QT Hotels said of the new in-room dining offering: “QT Hotels truly caters to the eating habits of all travellers – from the early risers to late night munchers and those who miss a home cooked meal. It’s in-room dining with a fun and healthy twist – like our Plane Food Energy Box with two boiled free-range sumac eggs, bran muffin, raw cashews, smashed avocado, Pepe Saya butter, warm brioche bun and cultured yoghurt drink – without sacrificing on guest favourite guilty pleasures including our Not So Classic Club. Our talented restaurant team use the best locally and sustainably sourced products from Australia’s most innovative producers.”

Handpicked in-room wellness gifts will help support guests throughout their device blackout, including Beauty Chef’s GLOW powder to boost gut health and glowing skin, Addition Studio’s Bath Brew giant tea  bag for the bath, Protein Ball courtesy of Luv Sum and a yoga mat with love from lululemon to practice anything from Sirsasana to Savasana.

Whether a regular on the phone free circuit or going through a first time separation, guests will also have access to a QT Wellness Guru to fend off nomophobia and keep the mind, body and spirit operating at full charge. If still feeling a little lost without their phone, guests can get re-acquainted with themselves or a friend, socialising in QT’s award winning bars with complimentary wine and cheese.
