QT Melbourne Welcomes Top 50 Chefs

QT Melbourne has partnered with the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, becoming the official hotel of the 2017 event program. The World’s 50 Best chefs are set to experience the unique hospitality of QT Hotels and Resorts, with the entire group staying at QT Melbourne during the program.

As of this week, chefs from around the world will be arriving at Melbourne’s newest designer hotel, QT Melbourne, with an exclusive Australian themed gifts over their stay, featuring; an engraved and personalised Suisin Knife from Tanto, QT Melbourne’s dedicated Japanese knife shop, personalised Vegemite, bespoke packaged Tim Tams, and housemade QT Lamington and chocolate block with hammer amongst other delights.

Chefs will also be able to experience the best views of Melbourne at the exclusive ‘Sky High Bar’ at the Rooftop at QT. Alongside Etihad Airways, QT Melbourne will provide the chefs and academy chairs with the ultimate networking bar serving up ‘The Melbourne’ is one of Etihad Airways’ exclusive signature cocktails served alongside European beer Estrella.

“Inspired by the growing global trend of contemporary travel and bringing back the great hotel dining experiences, QT achieves this by investing in concepts such as our QT Forager, rooftop gardens providing fresh seasonal herbs and leaves to our restaurant, rooftop bee hives and innovative cooking equipment,” said David Seargeant, Group Managing Director Event Hospitality & Entertainment. “Through our partnership with Tourism Australia in supporting bringing The World’s 50 Best Restaurants to Melbourne, it demonstrates our commitment to our own food and drink philosophies, and also to further strengthening Australia as one of the greatest food destinations in the world.”

Tourism Australia Managing Director John O’Sullivan said Australia’s hosting of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017 provides another opportunity to draw attention to the country’s world-class tourism offering as part of the most prestigious global gathering of food and wine luminaries.

QT Melbourne is the perfect place to be immersed in culinary heaven, with guests and visitors able to rub shoulders with luminaries of the gourmand world. QT Melbourne is hosting the official recovery brunch, All-Star Yum Cha, featuring some of Australias coveted Asian inspired chefs and also sweet treats from QT Melbourne’s patissier on the highly coveted Rooftop at QT.
