Quality And Quantity – A Recipe For A Perfect 2014 Season At Falls Creek

July 11, 2014 Ski No Comments Email Email

Falls Creek has enjoyed another fresh 39cm of snow overnight. With more than 175cm having fallen in under six weeks, this is shaping up to be a season to remember.

However, it is not the quantity that has everybody talking – it’s the quality. The snow on the mountain at the moment is incredibly dry and light with many commenting that the conditions are as good as any they’ve experienced in northern hemisphere resorts. “People think they have to travel to Japan, Canada or Europe to experience this kind of powder,” says Anthony O’Shea from Falls Creek Ski Lifts. “We are so lucky to have access to these conditions right now in our own backyard allowing people to experience the fun with family and friends.

All this fresh snow on top of an already-great base made this morning one of the great moments in Australian skiing.”
