It seems like a perfect film script. The princess from a conservative country was a fan of Bollywood song and dance since the age of 7. She used to imitate the sequence after watching a film. When she grew-up and became a queen, she came to India, learnt music and did an album of Bollywood songs. Tourism Malaysia seized the opportunity and made the queen to sing along with Kumar Sanu, a popular Indian playback singer for a new album to draw tourists from India.

Dato Seri Dr. Ng Yen Yen, Chairman of Tourism Malaysia said: “Bollywood songs, super stars and movies are a household name in Malaysia and command an extremely high following even amongst the non-Hindi speaking population. Now, with this beautiful musical compilation by two prominent individuals, it is our hope that the album ‘Tum Mile’ will further bridge our two nations through music and tourism.”

Dato Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen, Chairman, Tourism Malaysia, Her Royal Highness and Manoharan Perisamy, Director-Mumbai, Tourism Malaysia launching Visit Malaysia Year 2014691,271 Indians visited Malaysia in 2012 making it the second biggest market after China. Total tourist arrivals to Malaysia 2012 were 25 mn.  Tourism Malaysia aims to achieve a target of 28 mn in 2014. That’s equal to Malaysia’s population.

In the album, Malaysian tourist sites feature as a background to where the queen sings -dressed in jazzy Bollywood costumes. Dr. Yen Yen said that they had to persuade His Royal Highness of Kedah for permission to let the queen sing for this album.

Noor Suzanna is a philanthropist who has helped 2004 Tsunami victims as the Vice Deputy Chairman of the Natural Disaster Organisation of Kedah where the Sultan (King) of Kedah is the Patron. Tum Mile is her fourth album. All her albums are shot in India.
