RACT Travel has joined forces with another strong Australian business launching a new retail brand aimed at providing customers with a unique in-store experience that combines the latest technology with expert advice.

Under the partnership, RACT Travel’s seven statewide offices will co-brand as helloworld, forming part of Australia’s largest network of independent travel businesses.

Sales manager Christine Benbow said the decision to partner with helloworld was a strategic one.

“Being part of a singular brand that is innovative, forward thinking and recognised across Australia and New Zealand will give RACT a competitive edge in the travel space,” she said.

“RACT Travel will continue operating independently while at the same time leveraging a range of marketing, training and technical support.

“This support will enable us to provide a highly personalised and tailor-made service that is focused on the customer and their needs while continuing to enhance the exclusive benefits available to members.”

Ms Benbow said the helloworld franchise represented a “new way of doing business” that was consistent with a changing travel industry.

“Helloworld provides an integrative multi-channel solution to travel where customers can book their holiday through one of our seven offices in the state,” she said.

“The interactive technology, which bridges both mobile and online platforms, is very user-friendly so our customers can enjoy choice and flexibility when they book with us.

“Our IT savvy members can log onto the intuitive website or they can simply download the popular helloworld app onto their mobile phone device.

“However, people still have the option to sit down with their local travel consultant and arrange their travel plans face-to-face if they would prefer.”

Ms Benbow said customers would receive a number of exciting new travel options such as access to building their own holiday online through dynamic packaging, cheaper fares and accommodation – all in the one place.

Helloworld is the largest national network of independent travel businesses, comprising more than 1000 offices in Australia and New Zealand

RACT Travel one of the largest retailers in the group. The publicly listed company also owns Qantas Holidays and Travel Indochina.

The Helloworld brand is a combination of Harvey World Travel, Jetset, Travelscene American Express and Travelworld.
