With help from their guests, Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney promises a brighter Mothers’ Day this year for the less fortunate women residing at Manly Women’s Shelter.
Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney has pledged to donate 10% of the revenue raised from their Mother’s Day High Tea transactions to the Manly Women’s Shelter in an effort to raise some much needed funds for the women living there. In addition the hotel will also be donating 10% of all the room revenue generated on Sunday 8th May.
“At Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney we are always looking at ways in which we can enhance the guest experience and philanthropic opportunities are a gratifying way to give back. By inviting guests to enjoy a High Tea to celebrate this special day and knowing some of the proceeds are going to a great cause makes the staff and guests enjoy the experience all the more,” said Peter Tudehope, General Manager, Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney.
The Manly Women’s Shelter is a non-government organization, which has been assisting distressed women since 2010. Their aim is to provide short-term homeless women with security, support and assistance to ensure they feel safe.
President of Manly Women’s Shelter, Julia Lever said: “we help all women over eighteen in crisis including many mothers. The funds Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney raise on Mother’s Day will assist us greatly to help them re-build their lives. Every dollar helps us and we appreciate this thoughtful initiative”.
