120 guests attended the sixth annual Gala Dinner held at the newly re-designed Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney Hotel on Friday night.
The event raised over $70,000 for the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation which will use the money towards the purchase of a neo natal ventilator for the Premature Baby Unit.
The hotel and their partners donated all of the services for the evening including the food, wines, AV support, entertainment, room design and prizes allowing all of the funds raised to go to the Hospital.
Radisson Blu Sydney General Manager, Peter Tudehope said “This is the sixth year that Radisson Blu Sydney has held the Gala Dinner. It is our major fundraising opportunity and is our way of giving back to the community who support us. In the past we have donated to the global charity recommended by our management company, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. This year we were given the opportunity to support a local organisation. As such, we decided to embark on a five year plan to support organisations which assist children from birth through toadolescence. We started at the earliest stage this year and are delighted to be supporting the Royal Hospital for Women.”
The event, attended by the Hospital’s CEO, Catherine Oates Smith and NSW Minister for Health, The Hon. Jillian Skinner, was held in the Marble Room at the Radisson Blu Sydney which has recently undergone a $13.5M re-design of all the meeting spaces and guest rooms.
