Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens – Best Environmental and Energy Efficient Practice

Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens Melbourne has been recognized with a key industry award for its commitment to Environmental and Energy Efficient Practices.

On Thursday 24th June the hotel won Tourism Accommodation Australia’s (Victoria) annual Best Environmental & Energy Efficient Practice award and was a finalist in another four categories.

The accolade follows the hotel achieving Gold Certification in EarthCheck and being elevated in Star Ratings Top Ten list for Victorian accommodation from Silver to Gold in 2016.

General Manager, Clinton Farley said the award was a welcome recognition for the effort the entire team have put into focusing on continuous improvement to both Environmental and Energy efficient implementations.

The hotels strong focus on supporting aid organization Soap Aid and becoming one of the top supporters in Victoria along with market leading recycling initiatives and energy efficient reductions were solid activities within the last year.

This is a core belief that is at the very heart of our business.” The hotel was further, an awards finalist for Front Office Services Employee of the Year – Stefani Christy, Housekeeper Employee of the Year – Margaret Fernandes, Superior Accommodation Hotel of the Year and Hotel Restaurant of the Year – HQ’s on William.

The Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens team congratulates all winners and finalists of the 2017 TAA Victoria Awards night. Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens Melbourne offers 184 rooms, and is served by a meetings/functions/banquet level (capacity ranging from 10 to 160 for sit down, 220 for cocktail style) and HQ’s which seats 80.

HQ’s on William, recognized with TAA’s Hotel Restaurant (All Day Dining) of the Year in 2016, offers ground floor-to-ceiling windows facing William and A’Beckett Streets, clear views for diners and for the local community’s passing foot traffic to see inside.
