Raffles Hotel Singapore today announced the reopening of the iconic Raffles Arcade. Primed to elevate the retail scene within the heart of the civic district, the refreshed space offers an inimitable shopping, dining and lifestyle experience set amidst the unrivalled elegance of the Raffles Hotel Singapore’s glamourous colonial grandeur.

Previously known as the Raffles Gift Shop, the flagship outlet of Raffles Arcade is Raffles Boutique. Delivering a new retail concept that presents a selection of beautiful gifts and souvenirs for visitors to take a piece of the iconic landmark home, Raffles Boutique also houses a heritage gallery that showcases the hotel’s incredible heritage over the last 132 years. Bringing the shopping experience to a crescendo is Ah Teng’s Café which offers shoppers at the boutique, a selection of gourmet coffee and tea as well as homemade pastries for takeaway enjoyment.

Leica (01-20/21)

Leica returns to the Raffles Arcade with an expanded store concept featuring a gallery showcasing the photography of award-winning photojournalist, Thomas Hoepker. The prestigious German brand manufactures cameras, lenses, binoculars, rifle scopes and ophthalmic lenses which offer a blend of elegance through its design combined with innovative technology.

Minotti (02-10 to 13)

Raffles Courtyard

Refreshingly relaxed and charming, the Raffles Courtyard is a lushly landscaped alfresco venue located in the Raffles Arcade. Perfectly matched to the laid-back refinement and tranquillity of the courtyard space is a selection of exquisite cocktails and Southeast Asian plates.

Butcher’s Block

A vibrant steakhouse focusing on the world’s finest cuts of single sourced meats, the Butcher’s Block is where meats are showcased, prepared and cooked to perfection. Guests are seated amidst a lively ambience set with cobalt blue hues complemented with dark wood panelling, and the restaurant features communal tables for exceptional gatherings, complete with a wine library that houses more than 100 different wine labels.

Burger & Lobster (01-25)

London born and bred, Burger & Lobster’s Singapore flagship restaurant will serve wild, live Atlantic lobsters and prime cut and aged beef burgers alongside a tempting cocktail list.

GATHER (01-12)

A crêperie and specialty coffee house combined, GATHER an F&B Singapore brand will be making its debut in Singapore at the Raffles Arcade. The eatery also boasts a rotating shortlist of small batch goods thoughtfully foraged from around the globe.

Celebrity MasterChef Jereme Leung returns home to Singapore with contemporary Chinese restaurant yì. Alluding to the fine art of Chinese dining, the restaurant references centuries of culinary mastery woven into the intricacies of Chinese. From Cantonese classics to adaptations of China’s ancient delicacies, Jereme will be serving single sourced and seasonal ingredients with a contemporary approach.

New event spaces for weddings and social gatherings

Jubilee Hall has been converted into a new 300-guest ballroom, named Jubilee Ballroom as a tribute to the Jubilee Theatre, originally a cinema in the 1930s at the same location.

Elegant and sophisticated in hues of cream and gold, complimented with an air-conditioned pre-event foyer, the Jubilee Ballroom will be the ideal venue for weddings and social galas.

All other event spaces will be refreshed, including the East India Room, Casuarina Suite as well as outdoor venues Palm Garden, The Lawn and Gazebo. The previous ballroom has been renamed Palm Ballroom as a nod to the Travellers Palm, the emblem of Raffles. Following its restoration, Raffles Hotel Singapore will present over 2,500 square meters of event spaces that each have striking lighting elements and the latest audio-visual technology, to be relevant for today’s social galas and events.
