Rail Plus now offering Australian rail packages

Rail Plus has responded to travel agent demands by today unveiling its first ever packaged Australian rail tours, with five deals built around two legendary journeys.

Until now Australia’s leading rail specialist has sold rail tickets only on The Ghan and The Indian Pacific, but the company is now offering five packages, each combining a rail voyage with hotel accommodation, meals and sightseeing excursions.

Rail Plus National Sales and Marketing Manager Greg McCallum says the move provides travel agents with greater convenience, efficiency and sales support.

“Travel agents can now sell Great Southern Rail’s five most popular, fully-commissionable domestic rail packages using Rail Plus’ familiar and reliable The Ghanbooking channels,” says McCallum. “And they can do so in the knowledge that our expert consultants are, as always, available for support and advice.”

Ranging from five to 13 nights, Rail Plus’ new Great Southern Rail packages include:

  • ·         The Ghan – The Territory Complete (13 nights/14 days, from $5,290 per person twin share) – from Adelaide to Darwin (or vice versa) via Alice Springs, Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, Katherine and Kakadu National Park.
