As part of Rail Plus’ Reward and Recognition program, 12 lucky agents were treated to a lavish afternoon at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday 21 Oct, where they indulged in bubbles and canapés before having their hearts gripped by Tina Arena’s compelling performance as Eva Perón in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical, Evita.

The agents were carefully selected based on their points earned via their ongoing engagement, support and interaction with Rail Plus through the operator’s various channels of communication and education. These include attending webinars; participating in competitions and social media group discussions; subscribing to and reading Rail Plus’ newsletters; supporting the operator’s various events and expos; as well as working closely with the BDMs to further educate others on Rail Plus’ one-stop-shop for all things rail. In addition, the agents also aced the Rail Expert modules and ticket sales.

Evita is the first of many exclusive music, art and sporting events Rail Plus will host in each state. However, the pièce de résistance of the Rail Plus Reward and Recognition program is the series of famils that have been lined up, where top performing agents can look forward to once-in-a-lifetime experiences in Scandinavia, Italy, the USA and many other destinations.

Enjoying Evita with NSW/ACT/WA BDM Matt Symonds were Sandra Merlo, Corporate Travel Management; Keith Lindsey, Impulse Travel; Cathy Moir, Travel Managers; Stewart Dunbar, Madi Vos and Amanda Cantore, Flight Centre; Heidi Kervinen, Global Village Travel; Nik Young, Anywhere Travel; Rachel Anorov, AMEX; Susanna Dowling-Fernau, Travel Associates; Belinda Grono, iTravelTalk; and Brad McDonnell, French Travel Connection.
