Rainforest Cruises is marking the launch of the Peruvian Amazon’s most luxurious riverboats with free return domestic flights on all 2016 7-day Amazon Discovery cruises and 8-day Zafiro cruises.
The Amazon Discovery is a 22-suite river cruiser with five-star features including a spa, plunge pool and gourmet dining. The Zafiro, with a capacity for 40 passengers, is stylish in design, and her 20 spacious suites feature all mod-cons, with air-conditioning, ensuite bathrooms and magnificent views from floor to ceiling windows.
For river cruising in comfort, both vessels have an open-air sun deck with a cushioned lounge and a shaded bar, an air-conditioned lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows for breathtaking jungle views, and a spa for stone massages, soothing wraps and coffee-cacao scrubs.
On-board activities include expert talks from naturalists, Peruvian cooking classes and nightly entertainment with a local flavour.
Expeditions include trips along the black-waters of Tahuayo River to a feeding spot of Pink River Dolphins; a visit to the start of the Amazon River where the Ucayali and Marañon Rivers merge, Piranha fishing, and skiff excursions into Pacaya Samiria, the largest wildlife reserve in Peru.
On-land adventures include guided jungle walks, traditional village visits and the chance to meet local Amazonian people whose lives revolve around the river.
Jeremy Clubb, direct of Rainforest Cruises says:
“The Amazon Discovery and Zafiro are both very luxurious small cruisers on the Peruvian stretch of the river. For travellers who want to immerse themselves in the amazing world of the Amazon, and do so in comfort, this new launch is not to be missed.”
To celebrate the launch of the Amazon Discovery and Zafiro Amazon cruise, Rainforest Cruises is offering free return domestic flights with LAN airlines between Lima and Iquitos (average cost around $700 per couple) for any 2016 7-day Amazon Discovery cruise and 8-day Zafiro Amazon cruise.
