In line with its efforts to give back to the community through its corporate social responsibility programme, Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai announces its partnership with Rashid Centre for People of Determination.
As part of the cooperation, the hotel will provide internship opportunities to select students from the centre, and train them in different departments including front office, food & beverage, and housekeeping. The tasks per student will be based on his or her skill set, and will be supervised and evaluated by the representatives from the centre.
The team from Ramada Downtown Dubai also committed to spend hours as volunteers at the centre, and host the organisation for special events at the hotel. Once a month, the property will also offer a complimentary staycation for the students or teachers.
Five paintings created by the students have already been on display at the hotel’s lobby and at Kenza, its all-day dining restaurant, enabling them to showcase the exceptional talents of the People of Determination.
Mark Fernando, general manager, Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai, commented: “We are delighted to team up with Rashid Centre for People of Determination, and to pave the way for their students, especially the young adults, to make a mark for themselves. It is indeed inspiring to see them realise their potentials.”
