ReadyRooms Moves To Book Now, Pay Later

Qantas Holidays’ ReadyRooms for Agents ( has announced the relaxation of the 7 day book and pay window.

This new functionality means agents can book and hold a greater amount of price competitive inventory in ReadyRooms for Agents for a longer period of time and pay later. The new payment dates are based on a variety of factors including the cancellation policies associated with each booking segment.

Payment deadlines will be advised at the time of booking, and reminder email will be sent to agents 3 days before the final payment deadline.

To supplement the book now, pay later inventory, ReadyRooms for Agents will continue to offer a range of instant purchase inventory, usually defined by stricter cancellation policies from hotels.

“Put simply, the 7 day book and pay window really put ReadyRooms for Agents on the map,” said Peter Egglestone, General Manager for Wholesale. “However, our agents told us they needed greater flexibility around payment solutions, and 7 days just wasn’t enough in many cases.”

Agents will now see only two symbols in ReadyRooms, the instant purchase credit card symbol and the blue clock for delayed payment inventory.
