Recharge and reconnect with the family these school holidays

Sculpture at Scenic World is just around the corner, providing the perfect excuse for families to put down the devices and reconnect with each other these school holidays.

Now in its seventh year, Sculpture at Scenic World will transform the Jurassic rainforest to an outdoor art gallery from April 13 – May 13, showcasing 38 artworks from talented artists in the heart of the Blue Mountains.

In a first for the exhibition, visitors can enjoy an extensive free public program including kids workshops, daily guided tours and Sculpture Otherwise – an indoor exhibition of smaller works at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre.

Kids can also learn as they explore the rainforest using the Kids Trail Guide, and enjoy hands-on art making workshops which run daily throughout the school holidays.

Sculpture at Scenic World Exhibition Curator Justin Morrissey said the exhibition provided a unique opportunity for families to unplug from digital distractions and enjoy quality time together these school holidays.

“The Blue Mountains comes alive in Autumn and Sculpture at Scenic World ticks all the right boxes for a weekend getaway, just 90 minutes from Sydney,” he said.

“From world class sculptures, incredible landscapes, and a free public program that takes in the best of the Blue Mountains, Sculpture at Scenic World has something for everyone – complete with access to the world’s steepest railway.”

Sculpture for Small People workshops are back again this year, giving kids the chance to craft their own creations to take home. Create natural shapes from colourful blocks in the daily Creative Canopy workshops, build a terrarium garden in the Magic Garden workshop on Saturdays, and create ninja masks every Sunday from 10am-4pm.

Sculpture at Scenic World tickets include all day access to the exhibition, along with the Scenic Railway, Cableway, Skyway, Sculpture Otherwise and all public programs. Visit as many times as you like during the exhibition with a Sculpture at Scenic World Season Pass for just $69.

A range of exclusive accommodation packages are available, starting from just $98 per person for a two night stay, and online earlybird savings apply for entry before 10am during the school holidays. For more information, visit www.sculptureatscenicworld.com.au
