Registrasi BII Maybank Bali Marathon 2014 Resmi Dibuka

PT Bank Internasional Indonesia Tbk (BII) announced that registration for the upcoming BII Maybank Bali Marathon 2014 (BMBM 2014) officially opened today, 16 May 2014.  The race is to be held on 14 September 2014.

On-line registration system based on advanced technology is used to allow athletes both from within Indonesia and abroad to easily complete the registration process and stay updated as race day approaches.  The system will also provide information of the race results.  Runners from all over the world will be able to register on line through the website www.balimarathon.com starting today.  unnamed (28)

In addition to the registration via on line, runners will also be able to register manually through the walk-in registration starting 26 May 2014.  As appreciation to its customers, BII offers 50% discount of the registration fee by using BII credit card.  The discount is applicable for both on-line and walk-in registration.

The BII Maybank Bali Marathon 2014 which will be held in Gianyar-Bali, will feature three categories – a full marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.0975 km) and 10 km run.  The full marathon and half marathon routes have been certified by International Measurement Certificate number INA2012/009 and endorsed by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).  Route measurement was done by The International Measurement Administrator Dave Cundy, who  is a Grade A IAAF-AIMS course measurer.

“Our inaugural in 2012 and the second event of BII Maybank Bali Marathon were tremendously success.   We saw a 50% increase in the number of participant from 2,000 runners in 2012 race to more than 3,000 runners in 2013.   Seeing the increasing public interest in running, we are hoping to show significant increase in the number of runners participating in 2014 BII Maybank Bali Martahon,” said Taswin Zakaria, President Director BII.

Last year’s BII Maybank Bali Marathon saw participants from 46 countries, including elite runners from Kenya, Europe, USA, Asia and Australia. At the same time this event captured the growing interests among Indonesian runners.
