Banyan Tree Phuket is proud to announce the re-opening of its mouthwatering live seafood buffet, served every Sunday at The Watercourt in its brand new location overlooking the lagoon.

Starting on November 1, guests are invited to relax in this scenic venue and enjoy a leisurely afternoon of fresh and delicious seafood, cooked live from the stations and accompanied by the easygoing tunes of live jazz music. Combining both indoor and al fresco dining, the Watercourt restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful melodies of JIVE, Thailand’s own celebrated music group, whose international fame has had them recording for Sony and performing as a backup band for Stevie Wonder and Yanni.

Perhaps the most impressive feature in Banyan Tree Phuket’s superior Sunday Seafood Brunch is the sheer range of gourmet selections available, all freshly prepared in the expansive layout with an open kitchen. A rich selection awaits, from pan-seared foie gras with fig jam and pistachio toast to lobster, duck confit, and truffle risotto, not to mention the exquisitely tender meats at the carving station, and the freshly shucked oysters with seaweed salad, red wine vinegar and shallots.

The center of attention at the brunch will surely be the splendid cooking stations, where Canadian lobster tails, King Prawns and blue crabs are prepared especially for you. You’ll enjoy the free flow of soft drinks and beer, along with sweet Bossa Nova sounds from the celebrated JIVE band, as you wait for Banyan Tree Phuket’s excellent chefs to put the finishing touches on your plate of fresh seafood.

Spanish and Latin American delights will also feature prominently in the feast, with a spicy ceviche and aguachile station plus a delectable array of pintxos, including cod fish and tiger mussels, Iberian ham croquettes, slow-cooked tuna ‘escabeche’, pan tumaca, sweet piquillo peppers, vizcaina sauce and plenty of other bite-sized treats to soothe your appetite.

Be sure to also indulge in the generous assortment of gourmet cheeses, such as Fontina Fontal, stilton blue, as well as manchego and smoked idiazabal, made from sheep’s milk. A chocolate fountain accompanies the splendid selection of desserts, which can only be described as decadent.

After undergoing extensive renovations, The Watercourt at a new venue will serve the popular Brunch every Sunday from 11:30am-3:30pm. Prices have remained the same as before, starting at THB 2,600 nett. Kids up to 8 dine for free at Banyan Tree and children between the ages of 8-12 receive a 50% discount as well as free flow soft drinks. Also, a dedicated Kids area is on site and always ready to keep children active and entertained throughout the afternoon. Also available complimentary for Sunday Brunch guests are selected watersports activities including stand up paddle, water bike and water ball.

The return of the Brunch will be helmed by our new Executive Chef, the immensely talented Alfonso de la Dehesa, who has worked extensively in some of the world’s very best restaurants including Michelin-starred El Bulli.
