The ITMC Summit, hosted by WIN Global Travel Network, will take place from 09 to 12 June 2019 at the InterContinental Fujairah Resort, situated in the United Arab Emirates. Open to independent Travel Management Companies (TMCs) from across the globe, not just WIN members, the event will provide networking sessions to build international relations, as well as the sharing of global insights from TMCs and suppliers.

The theme of the second annual Independent Travel Management Company (ITMC) Summit has been announced as REWIRED. The conference will look at the increasing part that technology plays in the travel industry and how this should be harnessed alongside human service and not as a replacement.

The theme of REWIRED will look at changing technology in the business travel sector and how the
distinction between online and offline concepts has been blurred across many markets. A key focus
will be how service models can be enhanced through artificial intelligence and additions such as
Chatbots which are designed to create efficiency and simplify travel arrangements, allowing TMCs
more time to perform complex tasks and better personalise the traveller experience.

In the last decade travel demand in the Asia increased twice as fast as any other region. It is for this
reason that WIN Global Travel Network has embarked on a project to extend their foot print in the
region, maintaining a presence through its local market service partners and also hosting regular Asia Regional Meetings. The most recent was held on 26th March at the office of CIT Malaysia at their Kuala Lumpur HQ. In addition to hosting events, WIN has had a physical presence at ACTE & PATA events and this will continue during 2019.

During the conference, attendees will have access to industry-leading professionals and a variety of
workshop sessions designed to inspire delegates, whilst also learning and sharing with peers and
suppliers from around the globe. Attendees will also hear leading-industry opinions on a variety of
topics from the below confirmed speakers:

• Global Statistical Trends: Jon Gray, Principal, Rockport Data and Analytics
• Inside the mind of the buyer: William Pegg, Director and Founder, Synthesis Group Australia
• When things go wrong, duty of care: Richard Savva, Owner, Changing Times and Co-Founder
of Troovo Neil Armorgie, CEO of Summit hosts WIN Global Travel Network, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming TMCs from across the globe to the annual ITMC Summit, bringing together TMCs and industry leaders from every continent to address the issues of the day and learn from each other in an open and frank environment. This year’s summit will focus heavily on how technological advancements can benefit TMCs, alongside insight and practical advice on perennially important topics such as NDC, buyer needs and emerging markets.”

The conference will take place at the InterContinental Fujairah Resort, located on the Al Aqah Beach shoreline beneath the Hajjar Mountains. Delegates can fly to Dubai International Airport which is less than a two-hour drive from the resort. Anyone wishing to attend the ITMC Summit can register here.
