Set just North of Phoenix, Sedona is one of the few cities in the Southwest offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy blazing fall colors, brisk luminous nights and enlivening sunsets filled with plum and crimson-like hues. Sedona’s autumn months draw visitors of all interests to experience and find inspiration in its alluring, yet rugged Southwestern beauty, but it’s Sedona’s rich, edifying history that continues to captivate the attention of artists and enthusiasts alike.

Sedona’s Native American origins and Southwest influence dates back thousands of years. Cultural traditions have been kept alive with a strong surrounding presence of Native American communities and cherished Old West tales. Today, the vibrant arts and culture scene boasts over 200 local artists who create one-of-a-kind, handcrafted pieces enthused by Sedona’s first settlers. Admirers can expect to enjoy creations from local and national artists that feature a variety of mediums representing Sedona’s origins- jewelry adorned in turquoise and onyx, hand-woven rugs, bronze sculptures, still-life paintings and much more.

The city’s esteemed reputation as a community for eclectic fine arts and cultural influences is highlighted throughout local galleries and during premier artistic gatherings such as the Sedona Arts Festival and Sedona Plein Air Festival.
