Additionally, enjoy a series of irresistible promotions sure to delight summer nights.

Celebrate fatherhood with a platter fit for a king. For two days only, guests can bring their fathers to Alzina Spanish Asador for a delectable meat and vegetables platter (HK$828), a special meat platter featuring Korean Hanwoo sirloin beef, Spanish quail, prime Iberican pork pluma, Spanish chorizo, lamb shoulder skewers, Provençal tomatoes, grilled sweetcorn, Portobello mushrooms, roast potatoes and green asparagus in celebration of Father’s Day.

In honour of San Juan (Saint John the Baptist Day) on 24 and 25 June, a popular celebration in Spain welcoming the summer solstice, Alzina Spanish Asador invites brunch-goers to enjoy a delicious meal for HK$298 and HK$118 for kids aged 3 to 11, along with free flow Cava at the discounted price of HK$98.  Coca de sant Joan and Coca de Recapte, a sweet and savoury version of Cocas which is flat-styled bread with pastry cream, candied fruits or vegetables, sardines and pork, can also be enjoyed exclusively at the brunch to celebrate this jovial occasion.

Experience País Vasco (Basque Country) through taste, with Alzina Spanish Asador’s Basque Country Food Promotion from 10 to 31 July.   Located in the Northern Spain, the Basque Country is famed for its award-winning cuisine and tapas, featuring fresh seafood from its proximity to the Bay of Biscay and fresh produce from the Ebro Valley. The result is a blended menu of surf and turf, in which Executive Chef Juanjo Carrillo captures the essence of Basque cuisine in 12 dishes.

The menu opens with a traditional seafood soup, “Zurrucutuna” (HK$88), made with an old-style garlic and bacalao (cod fish), topped with a slow-cooked egg.  A series of “pintxos” (small bar snacks) follow, including “Chipirones A Lo Pelaio Con Setas De Temporada” (HK$78), a fresh dish of pan-fried baby squids fused with the earthy taste of wild forest mushrooms, green pepper, and caramelized onion. Diners may also enjoy “Kokotchas con Almejas al Pil Pil” (HK$128), a cod throat with clams and pil pil sauce dish, which is unique to this region of Spain.

“Alubias de Tolosa” (HK$78), a white bean stew with pork ribs, spicy Chorizo, and tendons gives diners a taste of the Basque Region’s penchant for stews, while “Porrusalda” (HK$88), a leek and potato stew in special ham stock with Iberico shavings, ham, and poached egg gives a contrasting flavour for those who prefer something less meaty.

The stellar way in which earthy ingredients are cooked on the grill in Basque cuisine is highlighted through the savoury and satisfying “Espaldita de Cordero al Horno” (HK$428), a succulent baby lamb shoulder roasted in the oven with potatoes and vegetables, and “Chuletón de Rubia gallega” (HK$1,238), a rib-eye available in 1 or 2 kilogram portions.

The epicurean’s journey to the Basque Country ends with a sweet note that is unlike any common Spanish desserts.  “Leche Frita con Helado de Mango y Salsa de Frutos Rojos” (HK$55) is a deep fried custard with mango and red fruits sauce.

To truly offer Hong Kong a taste of what an authentic meal in Pais Vasco is like, Alzina Spanish Asador will be pairing the special meal with Txakoli wine, a dry Spanish sparkling wine produced locally.  Dating back to the 1500s, Txakoli wine has been a long-time companion to meals shared between friends and loved ones in the North of Spain.

Additionally, Alzina Spanish Asador will be offering guests the opportunity to pair their meal with Sagardotegi, or Spanish cider the traditional way (HK$218).  Kept in big barrels, guests will be invited to serve themselves, and enjoy the fresh-out-of-barrel flavours of the cider.  Sagardotegi is an incomparable companion to Basque pinxtos, and will certainly enhance the dining experience.

During the summer season, free-flow cava can be enjoyed when guests spend HK$250 or above per person, from Sunday toThursday, 6 pm to 11 pm, for an additional price of only HK$50.

Alzina Spanish Asador will continue its in-demand Happy Hour promotion, offering buy-one-get-one-free beers, sangria, and cider from 4 pm to 7:30 pm with a spread of snacks that are changed daily like Olives, Artichokes, Tortillas, Montaditos and Mini Bocadillos etc. until 6:30 pm to accompany the convivial atmosphere every day. An additional promotion of 20% off cocktails, mocktails, and sangria commences for 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm every day, followed by a buy-two-get-one free offer from 9:00 pmuntil closing, allowing happy hour goers to linger beyond.

Opened in December 2016, Alzina Spanish Asador located on G/F, 29-31, Chatham Road South (entrance at Hart Avenue), Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, dedicated to bringing an ‘Authentic Taste of Spain’ to Hong Kong.

Alzina is Spanish for ‘oak’, representing its signature Ibérico, fed on acorns, and ‘asador’ is a Spanish grill, or BBQ, representing the grilled dishes that take centre stage, including traditional Spanish suckling pig.

The menu features both traditional and innovative tapas, a colourful choice of paellas, a range of Spanish rice delicacies and enticing vegan or vegetarian options, rounded-off with an appealing selection of desserts, Asian-inspired sangria and a variety of Spanish wines and beers.
