Asian-based hotel marketing specialists RM Asia Pacific is expanding the number of Australian hotels it is marketing throughout Asia.
Recent additions have brought to 12 the number of Australian properties RM represents from its offices in Hong Kong and other key Asian cities.
Chief executive Randall Lui said the growth had followed the recent release of industry research which shows Australia as the fourth most popular destination in the world for Chinese travellers in particular, but also residents of Thailand, Malaysia and Indo-China.
He added that RM represented two Park Regis properties, plus the CBD-located Grace Hotel in Sydney, as well as resorts in the Blue Mountains and popular Hunter Valley wine region.
RM’s portfolio also included Park Regis and Leisure Inn properties in Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville and the Leisure Inn in Launceston, Tasmania, with a Perth property to be added next year.
RM Asia Pacific, which represents the Trump Hotel Group in Asia, has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Taipei
