Rose Hill Rooftop at HGU New York Hotel Opens for The Season

May 28, 2018 Hotel News No Comments Email Email

HGU New York Hotel‘s Rose Hill Rooftop has opened for the summer season. An exclusive and residential-inspired terrace in Manhattan’s coveted NoMad neighborhood, the Rose Hill Rooftop re-opens this season with new cocktail and al fresco dining menus by Rose Hill Restaurant, classic black & white movie screenings, and Sunrise Yoga sessions beginning later this month in partnership with Solace Gym.

This year’s cocktail list at Rose Hill Rooftop is evocative of all things summer, and includes the Rose Hill(tequila, triple sec, lime, hibiscus roses), Yin Yang Mojito (rum, black tea, ginger beer, lime, sugar fresh mint), Baliska (vodka, strawberry, lemon, sugar, basil), Endless Summer (gin, vermouth, Campari, pineapple), Pirate of Manhattan (Rhum XO, red vermouth, angostura bitters), and the King Kong Banana (pisco and Midori served the ”tiki way”) – a nod to the Empire State Building towering above, and the classic black & white movie which inspired its name. A selection of beer and wine is also available.

Rose Hill Rooftop’s beverage offerings are complemented by Rose Hill Restaurant’s new spring and summer menus. “Small Plates” like the Sunflower Salad (cucumber, tomato, red onion, candied sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, red wine, arugula) and Snapper Ceviche (chili oil, toasted hazelnuts, avocado, radish) can all be shared alongside “Flatbreads,” including the Apricot and Prosciutto (aged parmesan, “JANINA” honey), Fig & Stilton (port, basil), and Citrus Salmon (avocado, lemon, cilantro, toasted sesame). “Large Plates” like the Amish Chicken (roasted string beans, mushrooms, whipped potatoes), and Pan Roasted Snapper (warm spring tomato, aged sherry) anchor the seasonal farm-to-table menus.

The 34-seat Rose Hill Rooftop at HGU New York provides an exclusive and intimate experience. Plush couches, banquettes, geometric rugs, and canvas umbrellas welcome guests to take in the panoramic views of the Empire State Building and the New York City skyline. After sunset, Rose Hill Rooftop features classic black & white films projected on an adjacent brick wall. Later this month, Rose Hill Rooftop will also launch new Sunrise Yoga sessions in partnership with Solace Gym.

The Rose Hill Rooftop at HGU New York is open to hotel guests and their friends (MondayFriday4 PM-12 AMSaturdaySunday12 PM-12 AM). Non-hotel guests can make a reservation by calling 212-448-1302 or by visiting rosehillrestaurant.com.
