Sabre Pacific employees have raised over $3,000 for Redkite during its annual Give Together week [21-25 October 2013]. Redkite is a charity that provides support services to children and young people with cancer and their families.

This year, the Sabre Pacific Sydney office held a series of activities and events ranging from Spanish classes to an iPhoneography course to tango lessons.

During the week the team also held an International Lunch, where staff provided a dish from their country of origin and others contributed a fee to indulge in the international banquet.

Give Together week was capped off with a barbecue and auction, with many items generously donated from within Sabre Pacific and from a number of Sabre Pacific’s preferred suppliers.

Zena Boakes, Head of Human Resources at Sabre Pacific, says that this year’s Give Together week was a huge success.

Give Together provides the entire team with an opportunity to do something that truly makes a difference. We are extremely honoured to raise money and awareness for Redkite, as the services and support that they provide to cancer sufferers and their families is truly commendable,” says Boakes.

“Our Give Together initiative is a great team building exercise and a fabulous way for us to give something back to the community. We had a lot of fun during the week and I think it was made significantly more enjoyable knowing that all of our efforts were going towards a great cause,” adds Boakes.

Tyler Juel, Partnerships Manager at Redkite, says he is extremely grateful for Sabre Pacific’s support.

“”I’d like to thank the entire Sabre Pacific team for their generosity in raising these important funds for Redkite during Give Together week. We rely on champions like Sabre Pacific to deliver our essential services to families on the cancer journey when they need it the most. Sabre Pacific should be proud to know their generous donation will enable us to continue supporting children and young people with cancer, and their families,” says Juel.

Sabre Pacific encourages anyone wishing to make donations to do so here.
