Next markets – 4-9pm, Fridays November 25 and December 9, 2016
The huge success of the colourful Sacred Tree Markets in Port Stephens has paved the way for seven more twilight markets by the bay over summer.
After drawing a big crowd of 3000 people on November 11, the Sacred Tree markets will unfold by the waterfront and marina in Nelson Bay from 4-9pm on Friday November 25, 2016, and again on these Fridays over summer – December 9 and 30 and January 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2017.
The Sacred Tree markets showcase art, design, produce and local talent and craftsmanship in a festive environment. Boasting the motto, ‘Tread lightly on the earth’, the Sacred Tree Markets promise to bring together “outstanding artists, designers, growers, makers, healers and lovers of all things beautiful” to the Port Stephens foreshore.
Sacred Tree Markets founder Ganga Ma said the markets celebrated holistic, handmade, artistic, eco and ethically sustainable products and services.
“We are overwhelmed by how well Sacred Tree Markets has been received by the Port Stephens community,” Ganga Ma said. “We are finding that we are beginning to create a loyal following in the area including many return visitors who plan their trip around our event dates.
“We expect the number of visitors to the markets to grow during the January holiday period and we’re also thrilled to announce that Sacred Tree Markets has been given a permanent home on the Nelson Bay foreshore continually throughout 2017. We encourage local creatives wishing to showcase at our summer events to get in touch via our website – www.sacredtreemarkets.com.au .”
