Salt Meats Cheese, the rapidly expanding restaurant group renowned for its fresh twist on authentic Italian foodis launching its first venue in partnership with Accor.

Nestled near the river in the heart of Brisbane’s premier lifestyle and cultural destination, Salt Meats Cheese South Bank will officially open its doors in Mantra South Bank later this month.

A welcome addition to Mantra South Bank, it sparks the beginning of a formidable partnership with worldwide leader and hospitality experts, Accor, that will see Salt Meats Cheese restaurants open across Australia.

“As a group, we have always been drawn to places that not only have an appetite for great food and drink, but a place where we know we will feel like we’re part of the family”, says co-owner, Edoardo Perlo.

“We are thrilled to combine the Salt Meats Cheese hospitality with the first-class service that our extended family at Accor is renowned for”.

Part of an entertainment precinct that is to become a firm favourite for locals and travellers alike, the 100+ seater restaurant will offer the relaxed European vibe synonymous with Salt Meats Cheese, with a menu full of classics suitable for any occasion. The venue will also boast a stunning al fresco dining area with an abundance of greenery and natural finishes.

Guests can also look forward to an exciting bar offering where they can graze on antipasti platters and take their pick from a stand-out list of bespoke cocktails created specifically for South Bank. The drinks list will also feature a range of local and imported wines and liquors exclusive to Salt Meats Cheese.

“We wanted to create a new space that perfectly caters to the South Bank community as well as Mantra’s hotel guests; a restaurant where you could easily dine solo or with a large group of friends or families in the dining style we’re used to back home in Italy”.

The restaurant will mirror South Bank’s characteristic and thriving cultural scene, slotting into the space formerly held by Stone Restaurant and Bar.

Accor’s Chief Operating Officer Pacific, Simon McGrath, said the transformation of Mantra South Bank’s onsite restaurant to a popular Salt Meats Cheese outlet will attract both hotel guests and visiting diners.

“This announcement marks the beginning of our mutually beneficial partnership with Salt Meats Cheese, which combines the expertise of two iconic hospitality providers,” said Mr McGrath.

“We remain committed to providing our guests with renewed dining experiences – ones which often challenge preconceived notions of standard hotel fare.”

The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offer 24-hour service to Mantra South Bank hotel guests. The breakfast buffet will be grazing-style, with an abundance of Italian-inspired gourmet options and a healthy grab-and-go element for hotel guests who are keen to get out explore local attractions such as the South Bank Markets, Queensland Art Gallery and South Bank Parklands.

Childhood friends Edoardo Perlo and Stefano de Blasi founded Salt Meats Cheese in 2012, four years after moving to Sydney from Northern Italy. The Salt Meats Cheese group portfolio will continue to grow with plans to open a Sydney CBD rooftop bar in the coming weeks and two new Queensland locations in the coming months.
