Decorated in a contemporary style, the elegant new Sanctuary Nile Adventurer design combines modern Egyptian culture with 7,000 years of heritage. From the moment you step onboard, the Nile Adventurer feels bright and inviting, with refined lighting that evokes Egypt’s ‘golden hour’. Lovingly crafted Caravanserai lamps with ornate cut-outs cast a patterned glow and a serene colour scheme – a blend of azure and warm sandstone with hints of softly burnished gold and bronze –enhance the ship’s sense of assured ambience.
This elegant theme continues throughout the newly refurbished cabins and suites. Each one will be a haven of sophistication, with distinctive touches and tasteful fabrics, patterned rugs, tiles and textiles, plus five-star amenities, while dramatic new feature walls and headboards with embedded lighting will add a touch of glamour. Each Standard and Deluxe cabin will feature brass pendant lamps, a plush headboard and a private bath, while two Junior Suites offer spacious retreats, each complete with a new ‘floating’ vanity and a private dining space. The palatial Presidential Suites will have cinematic views from huge windows, private balconies, plus refined living areas, while their new king-sized four-poster beds are set to be the epitome of sumptuous indulgence.
The restaurant will also undergo a complete transformation, featuring a central display – all the better to showcase the cuisine of the ship’s award-winning chefs. Warmth will abound throughout the interior, with burnished bronze tones, the soft glow of hammered copper, delicately patterned tiles inlaid in the walnut floor, and carefully selected antiques. With stunning views, this will be the perfect setting for gourmet meals and gala evenings onboard. Guests will even have a chance to participate in an Egyptian cooking lesson, all the better to recreate delicious dishes once they’re back at home.
The communal lounge will feature intricately patterned wall tiles, a dramatic bar, tasteful new fabrics and rugs, and once again, the warm glow of soft lighting, while internal pillars will be decorated in silver to catch the light dancing across the surface – as it does on the river outside.
For those looking for a little extra serenity, there are also plenty of cosy nooks on board Sanctuary Nile Adventurer. A tranquil, comfortable library will lead into a brand new spa, where a floating four-poster will await, along with a soothing massage or luxuriant treatment. Or guests can simply relax on the vast sun deck as epic scenery glides past. Follow an excursion to archaeological sites on shore with a refreshing cocktails in a private cabana or cool off in the glorious pool. The Sanctuary Nile Adventurer offers 3, 4 and 7-night cruises between Aswan and Luxor. The 3-night cruise departs Aswan on Friday and travels downstream (and north) to Luxor, arriving on Monday. Alternatively, you can travel upstream over 4 nights, leaving Luxor on Monday and arriving in Aswan the following Thursday. 7-night cruises are available by combining any 3 and 4-night departures.
