Save 25 per cent on winter food and wine getaway in Port Stephens

A winter getaway to Port Stephens, 2½ hours north of Sydney, is now 25 per cent cheaper thanks to a new three-night package released by The Retreat Port Stephens.

The ‘Winter Food and Wine Getaway’ includes three nights in a cabin at the bush hideaway, a $25 voucher for each person to spend on craft beer, wine and food at nearby Murray’s Craft Brewery and a $15 voucher per person to use for breakfast or lunch at Crest Birubi Beach, an eatery boasting spectacular vistas over the ocean and passing whales.

The three-night package is available for $350 per couple and valid for bookings made by July 31, 2017, for stays on weekends or midweek up to September 29, 2017. Additional guests can stay for an extra $114 per person. The package and inclusions represent a saving of 25 per cent.

The package enables visitors to Port Stephens to enjoy the passing whale parade and also a bounty of fresh seafood such as oysters, prawns and fish for which the region is famous.

The Retreat Port Stephens is nestled in bushland next to Australia’s largest sand dunes which stretch 32km long, 1.2km wide and up to 50m high between the property and the ocean.

Ideal for couples, families, groups or schools, the tranquil Retreat Port Stephens is located just 10 minutes from Nelson Bay, The Retreat Port Stephens offers self-contained cabins and bungalows accommodating up to six people, with ‘The Ranch’ fitting 10. The private, 1.6-hectare property boasts camp fires with free wood, barbecue areas, a pool, games room, DVD library and a playground area.
