Mark Friday 17 to Sunday 26 May 2019 in your diary and start planning an unforgettable Kimberley experience at the 19th Ord Valley Muster held in Kununurra in Western Australia’s northeast.

Considered one of the last wilderness frontiers in the world, the beautiful untouched Kimberley landscape is as much of an attraction as the Ord Valley Muster’s star lineup, which will be announced soon.

The bucket-list ‘Muster’ is like no other event in the world, culminating in the Kimberley’s biggest party with iconic Australian musical talent that rocks an audience of thousands.

Take the glamorous option of black-tie dining under a starry sky with its exclusive dance floor, or pack a picnic and enjoy the same amazing show in the general admission area of the Aviair HeliSpirit Kimberley Moon Experience.

The Aviair HeliSpirit Kimberley Moon Experience will be held on Saturday 25 May 2019 and has been headlined by Australia’s biggest artists in the past including Jimmy Barnes, Paul Kelly, Daryl Braithwaite, Lee Kernaghan, The Cat Empire, Bernard Fanning and Eskimo Joe.

Over 10 days, the Ord Valley Muster includes indigenous culture and dance, foodie event FEASTival showcasing the Ord’s food bowl producers, the Gibb River Road Challenge bike ride, a local talent quest where everyone has a go, rugby matches, a proper country rodeo and laugh-out-loud entertainment from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow.

The Muster is a popular festival with sell-out events every year. Visitors are urged to start planning their trip now and stay to explore nearby attractions including the Mirima National Park, El Questro, Lake Argyle, Zebedee Springs or take a river cruise along the Ord, the life force of the region or a scenic flight in order to really appreciate the vastness and beauty of the landscape. Travel packages that include flights, tours and tickets to shows will be released soon.

The Ord Valley Muster is a nine-time Festival and Events winner at the WA Tourism Awards, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017, 2011 and the Kimberley Moon Experience in 2008. In 2015, the Ord Valley Muster won ‘Best Regional Event’ at the Australian Event Awards.

The host town Kununurra is the gateway to magnificent East Kimberley, which rewards visitors with spectacular gorges, natural springs and watering holes, red earth, big bright blue skies, unrivalled natural beauty and the land dotted with fat boab trees. Kununurra is about 800 kilometres from Darwin and about 3,000 kilometres north of Perth.

The State Government is a proud supporter of the event through Tourism WA’s Regional Events Program.

More information including talent lineup, travel packages and ticket sales will be announced soon.

The Ord Valley Muster will take place from Friday 17 May to Sunday 26 May 2019 in and around Kununurra, Western Australia.
