The one million plus Australians who own motorbikes can save up to 15 per cent on an upcoming Hidden Sri Lanka Motorcycle Tour offered by Extreme Bike Tours which will take in the tropical island’s beaches, tea plantations, ancient ruins, jungles and waterfalls.

Departing February 2, 2019, the small-group tour will take travellers to spectacular mountain ranges, sandy bays and the Dambulla cave temple – an elaborate Buddhist temple built into a rock face, which is a World Heritage site. Along the way, guests will stay in hotels and eco lodges and travel on classic Royal Enfield motorcycles each day – the perfect way to take in the sights, smells and sounds of the tropical nation.

Bookings for three or more travellers will attract a 15 per cent discount while bookings for one or two riders will receive 10 per cent off.

The tour begins and ends at Galle in the far south-west of Sri Lanka, where guests will stay a beachside hotel and explore the city’s Dutch colonial buildings, fort, and boutique shops and cafes, before heading inland into the country’s jungles, tea plantations and grasslands and eventually into the beautiful Knuckles mountain range in central Sri Lanka. The tour continues to Sri Lanka’s east coast with its sandy bays, bars and nightlife, before returning to Galle through Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife park, Yala National Park, which is home to elephants, sloth bears and wild water buffaloes and has the highest concentration of leopards in the world.

The 12-night Hidden Sri Lanka Motorcycle Tour is available from US$4208 for licensed riders, including the 15 per cent saving if bookings of three riders or more are made by November 1, 2018. For one or two riders, the tour is priced from US$4455, including a 10 per cent saving.  To activate the discount, quote ‘Extreme2019’ when booking.  Fares include local transport and transfers, accommodation along the route, all meals on the tour, fuel and motorbike hire.

Extreme Bike Tours is one of the world’s leading motorcycle tour companies, offering tours in the Himalayas, Bhutan, Mongolia, Madagascar, India, Sri Lanka and Cuba.
