Adventure seekers can save US$1200 per person on a guided motorbike expedition across Tibet – the roof of the world – to the world’s highest mountain, Mt Everest, this September.

Road to Everest2Extreme Bike Tours is offering the discount on its 14-day Tibet tour departing Kathmandu on September 7, 2014

Tracing some of the world’s highest roads and rated as one of the world’s top motorbike rides, the adrenalin tour through the Himalayas will take motorcycle riders and pillion passengers across Tibet on some of the world’s highest roads to Everest Base Camp, 5200m above sea level. The tour on classic Indian Royal Enfield 500cc motorbikes also includes visits to the Dalai Lama’s spectacular Potala Palace in Lhasa and remote Tibetan villages and monasteries.

Including the $1200 discount from the normal website price, the two-week expedition is now available from US$4350 for licensed riders. Fares include accommodation in hotels and guesthouses along the route as well as all meals, fuel and the support of sherpas and bike mechanics during the trip. The $1200 discount is subject to availability and conditions apply. Flights from Australia are extra.

Featured on TV’s ‘Top Gear’ program, in 2011, Extreme Bike Tours is based in India and owned by self-confessed ‘mad’ Englishman and adrenalin junkie, Zander Combe. Up to 80 per cent of riders are from Australia and New Zealand.

For bookings, visit, email or call + 91 96653 77344 and request the $1200 discount on any available bikes on the September 7 Tibet tour this year.

New videos of previous rides to Tibet are now available on, with ‘virtual saddle’ links also available to track current tours in India and beyond.
