Australia’s first ‘glamping’ retreat – the luxurious Paperbark Camp on the NSW South Coast – is offering two spring specials – one for September and one for October – which will see guests save on a blissful bush break at Jervis Bay.

In September, guests can enjoy a complimentary whale-watching cruise as part of their two-night stay, while in the October school holidays, Paperbark Camp will offer 50 per cent off regular rates for children.

Boasting open campfires, luxury bedding, contemporary furnishings, free-standing bathtubs and hot showers overlooking the bush, and just five minutes’ drive from the shores of picturesque Jervis Bay, Paperbark Camp offers an idyllic and luxurious nature escape. In 2019, the glamping property will celebrate 20 years at the forefront of luxury camping in Australia.

In September, mid-week bookings of two nights will include a free whale-watch cruise on Jervis Bay, enabling guests to experience the beautiful region in peace and quiet as they take long walks on the beach, enjoy warm sunny days, stay in an elevated, luxurious glamping tent and enjoy dinner and breakfast in The Gunyah Restaurant, nestled among the treetops. The September special is valid Sunday to Thursday from September 2-27, 2018, and is available from $880 per couple for two nights, including dinner, bed, breakfast and whale cruise.

While some operators raise prices for children over school holidays, Paperbark Camp’s October special will see children stay for 50 per cent of the regular rate when sharing a tent with their parents over the school holidays. With several scenic walking trails nearby, complimentary canoes and bikes available, and the surrounding bushland being home to kangaroos, possums and colourful birdlife, there is plenty for families to see and do as they relax at the eco glamping retreat. Available from October 1-14, 2018, the October school holidays special is valid for minimum two-night stays. Prices start from $880 per couple for two nights (including dinner, bed and breakfast) and children are just $55 per night, which is half the usual rate.

Nestled in bushland at Jervis Bay, 2½ hours south of Sydney and offering a blend of sophistication and simplicity, Paperbark Camp is a luxury, eco retreat with elevated safari tents which are camouflaged amongst spotted gums and paperbark trees along the banks of Currambene Creek.
