Luxury independent travel network, Savenio, has signed its first affiliate in West Australia, with Shelley Brice joining the team.

Remuneration and flexibility for family and clients was her motivation in moving from a bricks and mortar agency to a home based model, along with the opportunity to invest in building her own business according to her own principles.

“I know I have a great client base and many of them are at the upper end of the travel market so Savenio gives me the opportunity to connect these clients with the products and services I want to offer them,” Shelley says.

“Savenio’s membership of the Virtuoso network was one of the things that prompted me to move, along with the other benefits like Hyatt Prive and Belmond Bellini, these are the kinds of exclusive services that can really propell my business.

“I’m also excited to be able to develop my own business growth strategy, taking a close look at my core group of customers and identify the opportunities they can offer in generating new leads and expanding my high end clientele.”

A recent survey by Savenio found over 90% of affiliates derived more than three quarters of their business from repeat and referral clients.

“Changing to 100% commission based model is not for everyone, because you need the client base where you feel confident you have the right connections to be successful. But at the end of the day, if you are a good advisor with connected clients, they will want to come with you no matter what.

“As someone who has recently transitioned, I think you need to have a good look at your client base and probably need at least 50 customers who have been booking with you regularly over the past 2 years.

“You need to understand them personally, their travel plans in the coming years and where they are socially connected – because that is where the new opportunities lie.

“It’s not a business model for someone who needs their hand held – its for intrinsically driven people – and if you are one of those people with a passion for success, then Savenio is the place to be.”
