The Savills Hong Kong Corporate Sevens returns for the fourth time on Sunday, 4 December 2016 at So Kon Po. The 2016 tournament has set their sights on raising HKD 1 million for The Deaf Rugby Programme. The Corporate Sevens welcomes a record-breaking, 16 corporate team sponsors including title sponsor Savills, gold sponsor Macquarie Group, silver sponsor KPMG, CBRE, Colliers, Compliance Asia, HSBC, Jardines JLL, St. Jame’s Place, Standard Chartered, Swire Properties and the TSW Pandas supported by Richard Basmajian and Simon Reid-Kay & Associates.
Gates open at 9am to the sound of pipes and drums and the first game kicks off. The tournament promises to exceed expectations and deliver a great day of entertainment for the team players and their families and friends. Shamrock caterers will ensure to fuel and Highland Springs to refresh both the players and supporters, the Kidz Zone sponsored by Microsoft is sure to be a big hit for the young and the old with face painters, balloon twister and arts and crafts plus the ever popular Tombola will keep the kids entertained for hours.
This year, all money raised will go towards supporting The Deaf Rugby Programme. The programme aims to bring together Deaf Rugby and the Sign Bilingual Education project in order to create a complimentary programme that helps tackle a number of the key challenges that young deaf people face in Hong Kong; Tackle Isolation; Tackle Understanding; Tackle Self-Esteem & Self-Confidence; Tackle Social Skills & Cultural Values; Tackle Language Skills.
Deaf people do not need any more help than hearing people, they just need equal opportunities.
