The recently refurbished Paon Bali Resto & Bar at Grand Nikko Bali proudly announces an enticing signature menu showcasing the best of Balinese cuisine. Following an extensive two-month refurbishment, the restaurant unveiled its new look on 3rd May 2016. The dining room has been artistically redecorated to embrace the island’s creative heritage with a vintage Balinese style that makes for an exciting dining experience. It comes complete with a bar, relaxing lounge and terrace area featuring pool tables.
Paon Bali Resto & Bar’s new menu offers a selection of island delicacies, including the renowned Bebek Betutu (traditional roast duck). “Our aim is to maintain the authenticity of this dish by combining locally sourced ingredients with modern cooking techniques. We use a number of items that are indigenous to Bali such as temu kunci, a fragrant rhizome, and a sweet-scented herb called jangu, to help create layers of flavour. Exotic spice pastes are essential to dishes like Bebek Betutu and we want to give guests a true culinary experience when they dine with us,” says Executive Sous Chef, Made Sudana, the man behind this signature creation.
Alongside this specialty dish, guests can savour various starters, soups, mains and sweets from an a la carte menu such as Sate Kakul, Lawar Kacang Panjang, Udang Goreng Lalah Manis , Batis Kambing and varieties of Indonesia’s classic dessert, Es Lilin. There’s also a selection of Balinese Tapas that can be paired with the restaurant’s signature drink creations by Pan Kaler, Iced Teas or Infused Arak.
Located at the resort’s lower lobby, Paon Bali Resto & Bar is open daily for lunch from 12.00 pm – 6.00 pm, dinner from 6.00pm – 10.00pm and supper from 10.00pm – 01.00am. A Balinese themed buffet dinner is available every Friday featuring an extensive array of local dishes accompanied by a traditional dance performance to set the mood.
