Ovolo Woolloomooloo is excited to officially unveil its brand new event space! The finishing touches to the $20 million renovation of one of Sydney’s most iconic, heritage-listed spaces is determined to unlock the true potential of the 100-year-old wharf.
The lobby and reception area of the previous hotel has been transformed into a high-end, modular event space that caters for events from 12 to 350 people.
Taking inspiration from the surrounding inner-city suburbs, the versatile event spaces have been affectionately nicknamed accordingly. “The Burbs”, made up of the “Darlo”, “Paddo” and “The Cross”, come complete with interchangeable walls, offering one large space or smaller combination. The biggest of the spaces, “Piper Room” which has the option to be combined with “The Burbs” to create one large 390m² internal space called “The Piper Rooms”, which can cater for up to 350 guests. For smaller guest lists, the hotel is dotted with other spaces including the “Glam-A-Rama” boardroom, B.I.G to get the creative juices flowing or the fit-for-a-rockstar “AC/DC” and “INXS” Ultraroo suites.
