Demand for travel to the USA and the Americas remains strong, with Australians making over 1.2 million trips to the Americas in the last year, while the USA was the third most popular international destination for Australian travellers.
Barry Brown, Emirates’ Divisional Vice President for Australasia, said: “Emirates offers convenient connections to America from Western Australia, with only one stopover in our international hub of Dubai. The route is growing in popularity for West Australians who have discovered the advantages of flying via Dubai to one destination in the USA and having the option to fly out of another with Emirates. The route also provides Perth travellers the advantage of fewer connecting flights as they can avoid the need to travel to the East Coast of Australia before boarding an international flight.”
Perth travellers can also take advantage of further connections to over 90 cities across the USA, Canada and Latin America through the Emirates’ Americas Pass with five partner airlines: Jet Blue, Alaska Airlines, Virgin America, WestJet Airlines and Porter Airlines.
With one combined ticket, travellers flying to any of Emirates’ 10 US destinations can connect to over 90 cities. The Americas Pass allows customers to enjoy competitive fares starting from USD$99 per flight sector within America. The pass also comes with a generous baggage allowance on all internal flights, adopting Emirates’ two-piece policy for flights in Canada, North or South America as well as no minimum stay requirement.
