SCAD Hong Kong Runs ‘Technology for a Brighter Future’ Event Series at Apple Stores in Hong Kong

unnamed-1Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Hong Kong is conducting a series of educational events which aim to intrigue and enlighten. Bringing their creative spark and technology know-how into a public forum, SCAD will host monthly talks, panel discussions and interactive workshops at Apple Stores across Hong Kong. A careful selection of top educators, industry experts, recruiters and the brightest young talent will explore a variety of subjects united under the theme ‘Technology for a Brighter Future’.

The series launches on Thursday, 1 December at 7pm in Apple IFC with a panel discussion exploring ‘The Role of Technology in Creative Industries’. SCAD’s Vice President Dr. David Pugh will moderate a discussion between faculty members Professor Robert Meeder and Professor Bryan Bentley – experts in their respective fields of Fashion and Luxury Marketing, and Visual Effects and Animation – and Juliet O’Halloran, Founder and CEO of recruitment consultancy SAVVY. The panel will apply their extensive industry experience and expertise to discuss how technology is utilized when expressing and maximizing creativity. In a world in which technology is evolving at unprecedented speed there is an increasing demand for creative talent across all industries. The panel will examine how a new generation is being prepared with the tools and knowledge to adapt to this rapidly evolving landscape.

Supported across a six month period, each monthly chapter of the series will focus on one of SCAD’s cutting-edge course programs which include; Illustration, Fashion, Sequential Art and Photography.
