Scenic takes Getaway presenter Livinia Nixon for a 13 day cruise along the Rhône River, uncovering some of the most enchanting towns and vineyards the South of France has to offer. The Nine Network will be screening three full half hour episodes of these special journeys on Saturday 30 May, 6 June and 13 June.
Join Livinia as she kicks off her Scenic adventure in the idyllic town of Chalon-sur-Saône, travelling to the little village of Beaune before moving on to Cluny to explore the beautiful 17th century Cormatin Castle. The episode closes with Livinia learning to cook from the masters in France’s second largest city, Lyon, the gastronomic heart of France.
The following week this French adventure moves further south into the famous wine region of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, through the fortified village of Pierre Casas and down into the French region of Provence where Livinia spends an afternoon kayaking the River Ardèche in Viviers.
The final leg of this amazing journey begins in the iconic city of Avignon as Livinia stands in wonder of the impressive Pont d’Avignon, before exploring the culture and history of the ancient city, Arles, and the beautiful pink flamingos in La Camargue National Park.
