Scenic has launched The Cycling and Culinary Wonders of Europe, its first Europe river cruising mini brochure for 2017 and a new addition to the supplementary suite of A5 brochures which have been designed to assist agents with selling to their clients.

The 44 page brochure includes four new river cruises that focus on the wealth of picturesque cycling routes in France and Europe, and the culinary delights of the South of France and Bordeaux. Plus there are three extended itineraries which encompass extensions including, Prague, Barcelona, Champagne and Madrid.

Guests with an interest for discovering Europe on two wheels can now enjoy two dedicated cruises that spend more time being active onshore in the great outdoors. There will be specialised bikes available, cycling guides, a bike mechanic plus a support vehicle that will follow each group. Bordeaux cycling routes include the Arcachon Bay coastal region, Europe’s longest coastal beach and nature wonderland, with local market tastings along the way. Plus a full day cycling the historic Saint Émilion wine region with lunch and wine tasting in one of the world’s oldest wine regions. Along the Danube guests can travel one of the most famous cycling paths in Europe, the Danube Path, through the beautiful Wachau Valley, as well as a full day tour from Regensberg cycling a trail of five rivers.

11 Day Bordeaux Cycling Endeavour – 19 July and 8 August 2017. Priced from $8,120 per person twin share.

The culinary cruises in the South of France and Bordeaux are on board the three Scenic Space-Ships which will be rebuilt to feature the exclusive Scenic Culinaire experience – a private cooking emporium offering tailored cooking classes. The dedicated space will feature cooking stations, a cheese and wine cellar, fresh ingredients will be sourced from local markets and our cooking instructors will introduce guests to regional recipes based on the regions we are cruising through. Scenic Culinaire features a real-time camera and screen to ensure each participant can see every cooking move in detail.

In addition to the on board culinary experience, guests can also enjoy a number of additional foodie excursions onshore including a visit to a Michelin awarded restaurant in Valence and lunch in a traditional Bouchon in Lyon, and in Bordeaux there is an off-board lunch at Remy Martin in Cognac with Michelin Star Chef prepared canapes and matching Remy Martin cognac vintages, and a Chateau Phelan Segur wine tasting and food pairing event in the Médoc region and a visit to Baltard Market in Arcachon on the Atlantic coast.
