Students around Australia are making quick work of securing their accommodation for Schoolies 2017, with the event’s original and number one booking site schoolies.com reporting record traffic following this week’s official launch.
CEO of schoolies.com Matt Lloyd said the response to the 2017 launch had been overwhelming with many of the popular room types, and some entire resorts already sold out.
“With the event more than a year and half away for current year eleven students, the response has been extremely encouraging. Schoolies are getting in earlier and earlier each year to ensure they get the best rooms in the best resorts,’’ he said.
The official launch follows a successful pre-sale period for the dedicated Schoolies who registered online in advance.
“We saw more than 2000 Schoolies lock in their rooms during the pre-sale, with some resorts already sold out, and the momentum is now building by the day,’’ Mr Lloyd said.
Gold Coast Schoolie Noah Nelson, who will be attending Schoolies in 2017, is glad he got in quick.
“Yeah it’s crazy, as soon as I got the email I booked my room and within a few hours they were sold out. I’m glad I got in when I did,’’ he said.
Mr Lloyd, said with a $100 deposit being all that was required to secure bookings for most Schoolies destinations, the best rooms in the best locations were always snapped up fast.
The traditional home of Schoolies, Surfers Paradise, will once again be in enormous demand while otherdestinations including Airlie Beach, Lorne, Byron Bay and Bali were also likely to fill quickly according to schoolies.com.
Schoolies.com has 2017 Schoolies holidays from just $375* per person for seven nights with all bookings including exclusive bonuses such as comprehensive security and schoolies.com properties, 24 hour helpline for parents and students, official schoolies.com photo ID, access to exclusive supervised parties and more.
